A very successful forum was held on Saturday August 8th, with over 380 attending. Congratulations to all in the team of dedicated BREAZE volunteers who gave freely of their time and energy to make it a productive and succesful event. Background information on the Forum speakers:Dr Kathleen McInnes, Principal Research Scientist, CSIRO Marine & Atmospheric Research, King Tides and Future Sea Level Rise David Spratt has emerged as a key leader in Climate Change action in Australia and some of his ideas are viewable at http://www.carbonequity.info/Dr Diesendorf is making a return trip and he has a brand spanking new book to boot called “Climate Action: A Campaign Manual for Greenhouse Solutions”. There will be the odd copy floating around at the Forum if you want to get one – check it out at: http://www.unswpress.com.au/isbn/9781742230184.htm Richard Dennis is the media’s go-to man on all things renewable, political and economical and he has recently been giving the CPRS a right shellacking. Given that he is a trained economist, he is, somewhat surprisingly, a very comedic fellow. Let’s see if he can make us laugh, through our firmly gritted teeth. Information stands at the Forum will provide simple tools and ideas for making changes at home and for taking community action to deal with Climate Change impacts.
